Rebecca is the founder and CEO of icourts. A lawyer by trade for over a decade, she ventured into technology for its power to manage and distil information and its potential to lower the cost of access to justice. Since then & over the last 17 years she has delivered technology solutions for 25 Royal Commissions and state based Commissions of Inquiry across Australia and the UK pioneering the deployment and evolution of electronic court rooms and the uptake of electronic evidence management.

Rebecca is a believer in human capital and her goals for the company are to reinvent the way tech is used in providing services to clients, to provide a creative and productive workplace in which to do that and to have social impact. She devotes time as a Board Member of the Vic ICT for Women network, is their Ambassador for Mentoring and works on various peak body committees in IT and law.

Rebecca is a technology evangelist and each day through icourts is working to change the way technology is used in the practice of law.

With a background of experience gained in a global professional services firm and delivering litigation support for commercial law firms, Royal Commissions and Commissions of Inquiry; Matt has amassed serious skills in electronic data processing and is one of our senior people.

Matt was part of the complement providing document management, hearings and litigation support platform services on the Oil for Food Inquiry, the Equine Influenza Inquiry and the 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission.

Matt heads up our ecourts and Evidence Management engagements,  recently working on the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and  the Victorian Royal Commission into Family Violence.

Ramesh is our technology deity. He leads our software development capabilities and oversees our infrastructure and operating environments.

The last 7 years of Ramesh’s 20 year career has focused on the legal technology space. He has developed several solutions to support legal document management on the largest of scale, as well as systems for the presentation of evidence in court rooms. Ramesh has also deployed and managed three hosted Relativity environments in Australia, and specialises in developing custom solutions integrated with Relativity to combine legal document management with managing broader case requirements. This helps set icourts apart from the other Relativity providers in the market.

Ramesh holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and an MBA.

With over 15 years’ experience in legal technology, Kelly is an specialist consultant in the management of digital evidence, including data processing and analysis.

Her strong technical background and experience gained managing and working on a breadth of legal projects since 1997, means Kelly provides practical and proven advice. She adopts a solutions based approach with a view across the life cycle of the matters she works on, complementing the workflow of the legal teams. Prior to joining icourts, Kelly worked in house at King Wood Mallesons and Minter Ellison.

Over 2015 and 2016 Kelly was the primary Legal Technology Analyst supporting the Royal Commission into Family Violence.

With a Bachelor of Science degree under his belt and currently completing his honours in Bachelor of Laws degree, Edmund brings a unique, methodical and scientific approach to problem solving in the legal industry.

Four years’ experience as a paralegal in several law firms prior to icourts means Edmund understands the rigorous and expeditious nature of the legal industry. During this time, Edmund was involved in several trademark, insolvency and construction litigation in the Federal Court of Australia and Supreme Court of NSW.

Edmund is a Legal Technology Analyst, Relativity Certified Administrator and was part of the icourts team that delivered Ringtail services for the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse over 2014 to 2015.

Adam loves numbers and order. His role at icourts involves managing the day to day logistics and financial aspects of the business.

With a career spanning experience in the tertiary education sector as a lecturer in ethics and investigations processes, a stint in the Commonwealth public service and 17 years in the NSW Police Force, Adam brings the rigour and discipline of those activities to his work with us which also extends to the recruitment and induction of staff into the business.

Adam was the recipient of a NSW Police Commissioner’s Commendation for Bravery in 2007.

Kirsty has worked in a number of specialist consultancy firms providing eDiscovery, litigation and court operations support for a range of law firms, and began her legal technology career with Blake Dawson Waldron (now Ashurst Australia).

Matt has over ten years in litigation support for commercial law firms, Royal Commissions and Commissions of Inquiry.

Providing document management, hearings and litigation support platform services on the Oil for Food Inquiry, the Equine Influenza Inquiry and the 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission.

At the conclusion of the Bushfires Royal Commission, Matt moved on to a top tier global professional services firm KPMG as part of their Forensic team. Matt returned to the icourts fold in 2013 to manage icourts team of Legal Technology Analysts, working on the RC into Institutional Reponses to Child Sexual Abuse and RC into Family Violence (Victoria).
